E2CCB is implementing New York’s new “Distraction-Free Schools” law, limiting student use of internet-enabled devices during the school day beginning in 2025–26.
Instructional Support Services includes a large and varied assortment of programs that enhance and support instruction in and out of the classroom. Resources for classroom instruction in the core content areas as well as special subjects are available that include multimedia materials, kits, and books. Elementary science kits, HealthSmart kits, and PE equipment are examples.
E2CCB staff also provide support for Technology & Audio Visual equipment, Distance Learning, and Online Education. Arts-In-Education activities, Environmental (Nature) Education programs and Community Schools are coordinated through this division.
The Arts-In-Education program, in collaboration with many local and national artists, provides comprehensive, curriculum related, arts-based services. Arts-In-Education, available for grades PreK - 12, offers creative and innovative programming in support of efforts to implement established curriculum goals.
Interscholastic Coaching and Shared Athletic Trainer services ensure that districts have access to certified coaches and athletic trainers who prioritize student-athlete well-being. Coaches provide expert guidance in sports skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while athletic trainers offer on-site medical support, injury prevention, and rehabilitation services, creating a comprehensive approach to youth sports safety and development.
Coordinated School Health services promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of students by integrating health education, wellness initiatives, and support programs within schools to create a healthier learning environment.
E2CCB Delivery Services provide reliable and efficient transportation for instructional materials, supplies, and equipment between Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES locations and participating school districts. This service ensures the timely delivery of essential educational resources, supporting classroom instruction, student activities, and district operations. With a focus on convenience and coordination, E2CCB Delivery Services help schools stay well-stocked and prepared to meet the needs of their students and staff.
The Distance Learning service connects students with opportunities for virtual instruction, offering access to courses, specialized programs, and collaborative learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
The Environmental Education program offers students hands-on learning experiences in outdoor and natural settings, fostering an understanding of environmental stewardship and sustainability through field trips, workshops, and curriculum-based programs.
Instructional Media Services provide districts with access to a wide array of multimedia resources, including video, audio, and interactive materials that enhance classroom instruction and support various curriculum needs.
The School Library System offers support and resources to school librarians, including professional development, shared digital collections, and interlibrary loan services, enhancing literacy and research opportunities for students.
The Science Resources service provides schools with the tools and materials needed for hands-on, inquiry-based science instruction, including kits, equipment, and curriculum support for topics aligned with state science standards.
