Shortly before the school year ended, students in instructor Thomas Congdon`s Automotive Body Repair program at the Hewes Educational Center completed a full restoration and custom modification of a 1965 Ford Mustang! ππ οΈπ
Beginning with a complete disassembly, Career & Technical Education students stripped the vehicle to bare metal, repaired and reshaped body panels, and fabricated custom metalwork to install a rear wide-body kit that accommodates larger wheels and tires.
The class completed every stage of the refinishing process, including welding, body filler application, block sanding, priming, sealing, painting, color sanding, and polishing to achieve a deep, high-gloss finish.
Congratulations to Mr. Congdon and his Automotive Body Repair students on an incredible restoration and a job well done!

A well-deserved honor for Culinary Arts instructor David Caccamise and teaching assistant Rosemary Catalano of the LoGuidice Educational Center! π²π₯£π½οΈ
Recently, representatives of the Empty Bowls Project recognized David and Rosemary for their years of dedication to helping combat food insecurity in the community. For more than 15 years, Culinary Arts students have supported the Empty Bowls Project, with LoGuidice contributing baked goods for the past two years.
David and LoGuidice Principal Joe Pagan were presented with plaques honoring the programβs longstanding commitment to the cause. The recognition comes as both David and Rosemary prepare for retirement.
