Math Burst: Using Literature to Support Math – High School

This session examines popular literature that supports high school math standards. Participants will explore activities and math concepts connected to texts students read for enjoyment or in ELA, using those connections to increase engagement and deepen understanding in math instruction.

  • Notes:
    • Minimum enrollment 3; maximum enrollment 50
    • Email the facilitator and Joe Reed at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend to avoid being charged
    • A substitute may attend in your place with prior email notice including the substitute’s name and approval
    • Follow district procedures during winter weather. If the workshop is canceled, an email will be sent by 6:30 in the morning using the address listed in WinCap Web
