Math Burst: Using Literature to Support Math – Intermediate

This workshop focuses on intermediate grade levels and highlights literature that supports math standards in that band. Participants will review classroom ready activities and mathematics concepts that connect to texts students are already reading for enjoyment or in ELA, using those links to leverage literacy work and strengthen engagement in math instruction.

  • Notes:
    • Minimum enrollment 3; maximum enrollment 50
    • Email the facilitator and Joe Reed at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend to avoid being charged
    • A substitute may attend in your place with prior email notice including the substitute’s name and approval
    • Follow district procedures during winter weather. If the workshop is canceled, an email will be sent by 6:30 in the morning using the address listed in WinCap Web
