Numeracy Brief: Assessment of and for Student Learning

This session explores NYSED Numeracy Brief #5 and the purpose of assessment in the classroom. Participants will examine why and how we assess, what strong assessments should look like, what information they should provide, and how to use results to inform instruction. The workshop also addresses how learning continues beyond an assessment event and how the brief’s guidance connects to daily classroom practice. Designed for math teachers and administrators.
