World Languages Item Writing Consortium – Checkpoint A

In this series, world language teachers will work together to locally develop assessment questions for the Checkpoint A exam. Participants will collaborate on item creation and processes for building local exams, and teachers must attend all three dates to gain access to the test questions.

Date: October 8, 2025; January 26, 2026; March 12, 2026

Time: 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

    • Teachers must attend all three dates to gain access to the test questions
    • Minimum enrollment 3; maximum enrollment 50
    • Email the facilitator and Joe Reed at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend to avoid being charged
    • A substitute may attend in your place with prior email notice including the substitute’s name and approval
