The LoGuidice chapter of SkillsUSA recently held its annual Chiavetta`s chicken dinner fundraiser! 🍗🍽️😊 Student members assisted with ticket sales, preparing dinners, and engaging with community members and staff who purchased meals.
Prior to the event, the Career & Technical Education juniors and seniors also learned about networking and how to raise funds through ticket pre-sales.

Cosmetology students from the Hewes Educational Center recently brought style and support to The Chautauqua Center, offering free hairstyling and manicures to community members during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💗💕💖
Beyond beauty, the event provided screenings and a space for encouragement and self-care. Through their talents and dedication, these Career & Technical Education students turned a day of service into a celebration of confidence, care, and community!

Charles Holder, emergency planning coordinator at SUNY Fredonia, recently visited the Criminal Justice program at the Hewes Educational Center to deliver a “Stop the Bleed” lecture. 👮🚨🩹 The Career & Technical Education students learned how to recognize and control severe bleeding and practiced proper life-saving techniques.
Criminal Justice instructor Kerry Crist thanked Holder for stopping by and noted the importance of Stop the Bleed practices.
“Not only is it important for a career as a first responder, but these skills could help them save a life at a moment’s notice,” Crist said.

Students showed off their spooky, silly, and downright awesome costumes in our annual Halloween parade, while teachers and staff joined the fun, cheering them on and handing out candy along the way.
