Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus is observing Inclusive Schools Week from December 8-12, 2025. The 2025 theme is “Children First: Building a Stronger Tomorrow.”
We are highlighting and recognizing the progress our schools have made in implementing inclusive practices to ensure a quality education for an increasingly diverse student population.
It’s also an opportunity for educators, students, and parents to reflect on what else needs to be done in order to ensure our schools continue to improve their ability to successfully educate all children.
Thanks to the hard work and commitment of teachers, administrators, students, and parents, our schools are more inclusive, and, therefore, significantly contribute to the development of a more inclusive society.

Students in the Criminal Justice and Health Careers programs at the Ormsby Educational Center recently heard from Robert Yeates, a retired officer with the Buffalo Police Department and current investigator with the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. 👮♂️👩⚕️🏫
Yeates shared insights from his nearly 30-year career in law enforcement, including how a critical incident in 2012 shaped his professional path and the message he now brings to police recruits and college audiences. His visit offered Career & Technical Education students a candid look at the realities and responsibilities of the field.

The LoGuidice Educational Center recently held its third annual Wellness Day, providing Career & Technical Education students with an opportunity to focus on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. 🧘🎨🥁🥋
Coordinated by School Counselor Alycia Lacki, the event brought nearly 300 juniors and seniors together for hands-on workshops ranging from martial arts and drum circles to yoga and arts and crafts.
Students concluded the day with a reflection led by Mrs. Lacki and guest speaker Brad Barmore, focusing on practical ways to incorporate wellness into their daily routines.

E2CCB at North Collins Thanksgiving Celebration
E2CCB at North Collins celebrated its annual Thanksgiving gathering last week, complete with its signature long table stretching down the hallway. Each year, every seat is filled as students and staff come together to share food, gratitude, and community. It is a tradition everyone looks forward to and a beautiful reminder of what it means to come together and give thanks.
In recognition of National Special Education Day, the Ormsby Educational Center is highlighting its amazing consultant teachers — Julie Rezpecki, Dorene Bett, and Rachel Schunk! Their dedication and support make a meaningful difference every day, helping students grow, learn, and succeed.

On Tuesday, the LoGuidice Educational Center hosted its third annual Turkey Trot, a festive 1.5-mile course that combined movement, teamwork, and holiday spirit! 🏃♂️🦃🏃♀️
Organized by the Sports Conditioning & Exercise Science program with support from Construction Technology, Conservation/Natural Resource Management, Criminal Justice, and Health Careers students, the event highlighted true collaboration across Career & Technical Education.
Students and staff warmed up with light stretching before taking off on the trot, then enjoyed seasonal refreshments to wrap up the fun. It was a perfect way to head into the Thanksgiving holiday! 🍂❤️
