Congratulations to Knight Bulera, a Springville-Griffith Institute District student in his fifth year of the Computer Information Systems pathway at CAM P-TECH in Springville.
Knight is beginning an internship at the Rural Outreach Center (ROC). In this role, he will support a variety of technology needs, including troubleshooting on-site systems, assisting with tech updates and migrations, and helping staff and community members better use digital tools. He will also contribute to a tech audit and support ongoing IT projects.
This opportunity will allow Knight to build real-world experience in IT support and systems work while making a meaningful impact in the community.

On Wednesday, Career & Technical Education seniors at the Ormsby Educational Center took a well-deserved break to celebrate an incredible year of hard work and achievement at the annual Senior Picnic! 🧺🌭🏈
Students enjoyed a morning filled with fun activities, including cornhole, flag football, and an obstacle course, along with plenty of delicious picnic food. The event gave seniors the chance to relax, connect with classmates from different CTE programs, and make lasting memories before graduation.
A special thank you to the faculty and staff who helped organize and provide this memorable experience for students!

E2CCB made a strong showing at last week’s STEM Wars competition, held over two days at Northwest Arena in Jamestown. Students from the Hewes Educational Center, WNY P-TECH, and CAM P-TECH took part in a variety of challenges, including robotics and job interviews.
STEM Wars brings together manufacturers, schools, suppliers, colleges, and community organizations to connect students in grades 3–12 with career pathways and opportunities in the manufacturing sector. In addition to STEM-based challenges, the event also features a career fair and tech expo.
In total, about 800 students representing 40 elementary, middle, and high schools participated in the event.
Staff from WNY P-TECH and CAM P-TECH also hosted informational tables, highlighting student pathways in STEM fields such as Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, and Information Technology.
A special shout-out to Dream It Do It Western New York and the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier for another outstanding year!

Almost two dozen freshmen from WNY P-TECH recently got an up-close look at careers in advanced manufacturing during a tour of the Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant. Students also visited the Manufacturing Technology Institute (MTI) at SUNY JCC to experience their future college pathway site.
The tours were made possible through a collaboration between Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, Cummins, SUNY JCC, and Dream It Do It Western New York.

Earlier this week, instructor Holly Lemke and students in the Small Animal Science program at LoGuidice had the opportunity to visit the National Equine Institute of Growth through Healing (N.E.I.G.H.) on Maple Grove Road in Bemus Point. 🐴🌟❤️
During the visit, Career & Technical Education students explored the powerful impact of equine-assisted therapy through a variety of hands-on experiences, including medicating, weighing, grooming, and handling horses.
A special thank you to Dawn and Taylor Samuelson for being such welcoming hosts and for sharing their time, knowledge, and hospitality with our students. It was a meaningful and unforgettable experience for everyone involved!

Students involved in STEP Club at WNY P-TECH recently toured the South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts wastewater treatment plant to learn more about environmental science, infrastructure, and careers in STEM fields. 💧🔬
Led by Tom Walsh, the tour gave students an inside look at how the facility serves more than 5,000 customers and removes millions of pounds of pollutants each year, helping protect Chautauqua Lake and the surrounding community.
The Fredonia STEP program helps prepare students for future success in science, technology, and health-related fields, as well as college pathways.

Students in the Automotive Body Repair program at the Ormsby Educational Center recently got an up-close look at the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority. 🚌🔧⚙️
Alongside instructor Richard Drewery, Career & Technical Education seniors rode an NFTA-Metro bus and toured the organization’s Cold Spring Bus Garage in Buffalo.
The visit gave students the opportunity to explore potential employment and internship opportunities while seeing firsthand how technicians perform similar tasks in the field, the equipment they use, and the career advancement opportunities available within the industry.
Thank you to the NFTA for providing our students with this valuable hands-on learning experience!
