CAM P-TECH recently welcomed dozens of fifth-grade students from Springville Elementary School to its first-ever Young Explorers Day, an event designed to introduce younger students to future career pathways in a hands-on, engaging way.
During their visit, Springville students toured classrooms, interacted with current students and staff, and explored two of the program’s featured pathways: Electrical Construction & Maintenance Technician and Information Technology. The experience offered an early look at the skills and opportunities available through the P-TECH model.
The event was coordinated by school counselors Tony Visco of CAM P-TECH and Paul Pinto of Springville Elementary. Organizers hope to expand Young Explorers Day to include more school districts in the future.
