E2CCB Practical Nursing Program Celebrates Graduates at JCC

On July 31, the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES (E2CCB) Practical Nursing Program proudly celebrated its graduating class during a commencement ceremony at Jamestown Community College.

The event marked the culmination of months of rigorous coursework, clinical experience, and dedication from students determined to enter the nursing profession.

The evening began with a warm welcome and recognition of the graduates’ commitment to their education and to the calling of patient care. Families, friends, instructors, and community members gathered to honor the achievements of these future healthcare professionals.

Serving as Valedictorian, Sierra Destro delivered an inspiring address reflecting on the challenges and triumphs the class shared throughout the program. She encouraged her fellow graduates to embrace every opportunity to learn and grow in their nursing careers.

Salutatorian, Briana Green, shared heartfelt remarks about perseverance, teamwork, and the bonds formed within their cohort.

The Commencement Speaker, Kristen Kephart, LPN, offered words of wisdom drawn from her own experiences in the nursing field. Her message emphasized the importance of compassion, resilience, and lifelong learning in providing quality patient care.

Graduates received their nursing pins, symbolizing their readiness to serve as Licensed Practical Nurses and make a meaningful difference in their communities. The ceremony closed with a sense of pride, accomplishment, and anticipation for the bright futures that lie ahead.

E2CCB congratulates the Practical Nursing Class of 2025 and wishes them success as they begin their careers in healthcare.
