The LoGuidice Educational Center honored more than 30 Career & Technical Education students during its annual National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) induction ceremony, recognizing seniors who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and service across a wide range of CTE programs.
Students earn eligibility for NTHS by maintaining a 90% average, meeting high attendance standards, and exemplifying the character and professionalism expected in their trade areas.
LoGuidice Principal Joe Pagan opened the ceremony by applauding the inductees for their commitment to excellence.
“Today, we recognize the accomplishments of a group of outstanding Career and Technical Education students who have put forth tremendous effort and shown great aptitude in their chosen trade area,” Pagan said. “Induction into the National Technical Honor Society is one of the highest accomplishments that can be bestowed upon a Career and Technical Education student.”
The mission of NTHS guided the evening’s celebration. The organization aims to reward excellence in workforce education, promote self-esteem and high achievement, encourage core workplace values, strengthen partnerships with business and industry, and support a positive national image for career and technical training.

Alycia Lacki, NTHS advisor and CTE counselor, addressed the inductees with pride, recognizing their leadership both in and out of the classroom.
“Among the 200 students in our senior class, you — the individuals sitting here tonight — are the distinguished few,” Lacki said. “As your advisor, I couldn’t be more proud to guide such an outstanding group of young people. You serve not only as role models, but as living examples of how to do good — for our school, and for our community.”
Lacki highlighted several service initiatives completed by inductees this year. Students led a campus-wide cancer awareness project, coordinated a Halloween parade and celebration with peers in E building, and are preparing for their upcoming Holiday Send-Out, where handmade cards will be delivered to local nursing home residents.
“This organization truly comes full circle,” Lacki said. “It develops leaders who understand the importance of using their platform to make a positive impact in the world.”
