Students in Cosmetology programs across Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES are gaining real-world experience while offering salon services to the public through on-site clinics.
Each clinic offers community members professional hair, skin, and nail services at affordable prices while supporting the Career & Technical Education students as they build hands-on skills and prepare for careers in the beauty industry.
At the Hewes Educational Center, 2615 N. Maple Ave., Ashville, the student Cosmetology clinic operates on Thursdays beginning at 12 p.m. by appointment only. Services include hair, skin, and nail treatments. To schedule an appointment, call 716-672-3241 ext. 3041.
The clinic at the Ormsby Educational Center, 1010 Center St., East Aurora, remains open to the public every Thursday and Friday from 8–10 a.m. Clients can receive a variety of services, including haircuts, hair coloring, nails, and lashes. Appointments can be made by calling 716-652-6740.
The LoGuidice Educational Center, 9520 Fredonia Stockton Road, Fredonia, also offers cosmetology services by appointment. To schedule, call 716-672-3108.
At the Carrier Educational Center, 8685 Erie Road, Angola, salon services are offered on select dates throughout the spring. February clinic dates include Thursday, Feb. 12 (Valentine’s Day with Family Clinic) and Thursday, Feb. 26. March dates are March 6, 12, 20, and 27. In April, clinics will be held on April 2, 17, and 24 (no clinic on April 10 due to spring break). The final clinic of the season will take place on Friday, May 1.
