The Ormsby Educational Center hosted its annual staff potluck, featuring a variety of tasty dishes prepared by the amazing team and enjoyed during lunch! 🎄🍪✨
During the potluck, attendees were encouraged to vote on their favorite gingerbread houses made by juniors and seniors enrolled in the Culinary Arts program.
The event was a great way to celebrate teamwork and thank staff for their dedication as the holiday season approaches.

The Hewes Educational Center recently welcomed high school sophomores from area school districts for a day of exploration and learning! 🧑🔧👮♂️🧑🍳
Visitors toured a variety of Career & Technical Education programs, including Automotive Body Repair, Automotive Technology, Conservation/Natural Resource Management, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Diesel/Power Equipment Technology, Health Careers, Information Technology/Computer Systems, and Small Animal Science.
Participating schools included Bemus Point, Chautauqua Lake, Clymer, Falconer, Frewsburg, Jamestown, Panama, Sherman, and Southwestern.
Junior student ambassadors led tours, while Hewes School Counselor Aaron Taylor spoke with guests about the many benefits of Career & Technical Education.

School librarians from across the region gathered for Strengthening Our Core: School Library Values in Practice, a statewide symposium focused on how the ALA Core Values guide daily work in school libraries.
Media literacy, equity, inclusion, and community engagement were all part of the conversation.
National Honor Society students from WNY P-TECH in Dunkirk recently donated nearly 100 animal-related items to Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue! 🐶❤️🐾
As part of a service project, NHS members spent five weeks collecting donations. Along with advisor Kayla Hotchkiss, students visited the nonprofit rescue group and had the chance to briefly interact with many of its animals.
