Instructional Support & Development

Empowering our staff with the tools and growth they need to excel in education

The Instructional Support & Development page at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES is dedicated to empowering our specialized staff with continuous growth and development opportunities. We offer tailored professional development programs that focus on enhancing instructional strategies, technology integration, and curriculum innovation. By providing access to cutting-edge resources, collaborative workshops, and expert guidance, we ensure that our internal staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to lead and inspire in today’s evolving educational landscape. Our commitment to ongoing development fosters a culture of excellence and innovation, benefiting both our educators and the students they serve.

The Mentor Program is designed for all first-year E2CCB Instructional staff. The program is aligned to the NYS Mentoring Standards and provides opportunities quarterly throughout the year and sessions differentiated by role for continued employee success and growth.

Schedule

Our team strives to provide support for new hires throughout their first four years of employment. Our progressive sessions were built with the Professional Learning Standards in mind along with the strands of Data, Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education, Literacy, Behavior, and Social Emotional Learning.

Courses

Our Instructional Coaches offer on-site coaching to all instructional staff at each of our E2CCB sites monthly throughout the school year.

The Professional Learning Plan is revised yearly to meet the needs of the BOCES. A committee is formed based on volunteers from each of our bargaining units. Together, they analyze data and make suggestions for what the BOCES instructional staff needs in the upcoming year.

Professional Learning Plan

The Google Classrooms house content-specific resources available for our internal BOCES staff. This includes programs purchased, updates from our team, and collaboration opportunities.
