Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES and The Waterfront Foundation once again collaborated to help members of the public feel better about themselves! ❤️🥰💝
For a second year, the Cosmetology programs at the LoGuidice and Hewes educational centers hosted “Love Yourself” events. Career & Technical Education juniors and seniors at both locations provided various hair 💇♀️ and nail 💅 services while foundation representatives promoted self-care initiatives.

🏈 Super Bowl Party with a Purpose at Baker Road! 🏈
Yesterday, we came together for an amazing Super Bowl party at Baker Road—not just to celebrate football, but to recognize the incredible generosity of our students and staff! 🎉💙
Our Student Council has expanded our in-school community outreach, collecting not just clothing, but also non-perishable food and personal hygiene items to support students and families in need. Thanks to their hard work, we’ve transformed a space into a private “shop” where students can access these essentials with dignity.
Our goal was 250+ donations—and our Baker Road community crushed it with over 380 items! 💪🙌 To celebrate, Chef Alen served up some legendary chicken wing dip, pizza, chicken nuggets, and all the fixings. Every Baker Road member was invited to enjoy!
This is what community is all about. 💙 Giving back. Supporting one another. Making a difference. Amazing job, everyone!

Congratulations to WNY P-TECH alum Steven Zentz, who recently became a full-time employee with the city of Dunkirk Fire Department!
Steven shared his experience at WNY P-TECH and the Welding Technology pathway with members of the E2CCB Board of Education.
"I cannot say that I even had one class during my time at P-TECH that I did not enjoy," Steven said. "The small classroom learning and individual instructions I received from the staff there was amazing."
Steven received his associate`s degree in Welding Technology from SUNY Jamestown Community College. While still in school, he began working as a welder and eventually found full-time work at JMI.
"I would not be where I am today without the support and education that I received at WNY P-TECH," said Steven, who noted that he will continue to work as a welder while employed in Dunkirk.
Steven is pictured with Leo Fial, Director of P-TECH, CTE & Program Innovation.

❤️ Happy Hearts and Homemade Pizza 🍕
This morning, #E2CCB students from Julie Rzepecki’s and Kevin Paolini’s classrooms at East Aurora visited the Carrier Educational Center where they worked in the Culinary Arts program decorating Valentine’s Day cookies and cupcakes.
“It’s nice to have the Career & Technical Education students and teachers collaborate with our students,” Rzepecki said. “It gives them an experience that we typically don’t have in our classroom. It also gives them some real-world life learning.”
Students also had the opportunity to make homemade pizzas for lunch. They were assisted at Carrier by Culinary Arts instructor Sandy Kaleta, consultant teacher Nicole Kaleta, and senior Shaun Serio.
“Our students here at Carrier really like to work one-on-one with kids and see their creativity,” Nicole Kaleta said. “They get to collaborate together as students and not just us teachers.”
Great job, everyone! 💝🫶📣
