Congratulations to WNY P-TECH alum Steven Zentz, who recently became a full-time employee with the city of Dunkirk Fire Department!

Steven shared his experience at WNY P-TECH and the Welding Technology pathway with members of the E2CCB Board of Education.

"I cannot say that I even had one class during my time at P-TECH that I did not enjoy," Steven said. "The small classroom learning and individual instructions I received from the staff there was amazing."

Steven received his associate's degree in Welding Technology from SUNY Jamestown Community College. While still in school, he began working as a welder and eventually found full-time work at JMI.

"I would not be where I am today without the support and education that I received at WNY P-TECH," said Steven, who noted that he will continue to work as a welder while employed in Dunkirk.

Steven is pictured with Leo Fial, Director of P-TECH, CTE & Program Innovation.
