The Hewes Educational Center hosted a thank-you luncheon this morning to recognize Junior Student Ambassadors and celebrate the success of December’s Sophomore Tour Week in promoting Career & Technical Education! 👏
Principal Paul Mihalko spoke about the importance of standing out when pursuing future career opportunities. Each ambassador received a certificate of recognition from Aaron Taylor, CTE counselor, to include in their employment portfolios.
School social worker Alissa Rinaldo also highlighted upcoming initiatives where Student Ambassadors will play a key role, including the inaugural Hewes CTE Spirit Week and an eighth-grade “Taste of Tech” event this spring.
A big thank you to our juniors for their hard work, leadership, and dedication to representing Hewes so well! 🎉

The LoGuidice Educational Center recently welcomed hundreds of area high school students for a hands-on look at Career & Technical Education! 🧰🍰💇♀️
Students explored programs such as Automotive Body Repair, Automotive Technology, Conservation, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Health Careers, Small Animal Science, Sports Conditioning & Exercise Science, and Welding/Metal Fabrication.
Visitors from 10 different school districts toured classrooms with the help of junior student ambassadors, spoke with instructors and current CTE students, and learned more about programs they are interested in pursuing.
Each visit began with an overview from LoGuidice School Counselor Alycia Lacki, who provided details about the programs offered through Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES.
