The LoGuidice Educational Center recently partnered with the Chautauqua County Humane Society to support local animals in need! 🐾

Led by the Criminal Justice and Small Animal Science programs, donations were collected from staff and fellow Career & Technical Education students. Contributions included pet food, treats, toys, dishes, blankets, sweaters, crates, and other essential supplies.

On Monday, representatives from the Chautauqua County Humane Society visited LoGuidice to pick up the generous donations.

Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference for animals in our community! 🐶🐱❤️

New York’s Summer EBT Food Benefits program helps families buy food for school-aged children during the summer months.

Eligible families can receive $120 in food benefits for each eligible child, which can be used to purchase items such as fruits, vegetables, meat, whole grains and dairy at authorized retail food stores, farmers’ markets and anywhere SNAP is accepted.

Many children will be automatically enrolled and do not need to apply. Some families may need to complete an online application by Sept. 8, 2026.

Families should know:

✅ Automatically enrolled children do not need to apply
✅ Some families may need to apply at SummerEBT.ny.gov
✅ Benefits should be used soon after they are received
✅ Unused benefits expire 122 days after they are issued

To learn more about eligibility, how benefits are issued and how to use them, visit otda.ny.gov/SummerEBT.
